Earthquake Sound Corporation is the original inventor of the Shallow Woofer System (SWS), which revolutionized bass experience in compact spaces. The SWS-6.5X Shallow Woofer embodies this innovative technology, enabling massive bass production from a small, shallow mount application. With a unique inverted cone design, the SWS maximizes excursion capability, allowing for deep bass performance where conventional subwoofers won’t fit.
Pioneered by Joseph Sahyoun and safeguarded by multiple global patents, the low-profile design of the SWS-6.5X Shallow Woofer provides the flexibility to place the subwoofer in almost any location. The flexible suspension components, including the cone and spider, are moved to the side, thus enabling an elevated motor while reducing the mounting depth of the speaker. This creates space for enhanced excursion capability, resulting in powerful bass performance that defies its compact form. More excursion directly translates to more impactful sound, providing a premium audio experience without compromising space.
In conclusion, the Earthquake Sound SWS series sets the standard for shallow-mount subwoofers, offering an unparalleled combination of patented technology, low-profile design, and superior bass performance. Whether for automotive, marine, or home audio applications, the SWS redefines what is possible in compact spaces, ensuring that no location is off-limits for outstanding bass.

I bought Focals for the doors and replaced my 676 HiFi amp with the Match up7BMW. I am not a basshead but these do kick the punch and are more defined than the stock speaks. Work great in my E84, X1
Phenomenal like night and day . They need a break in point but after … perfect.. it quite plug n play u will need to snip some wires, and some stripping. It after that it’s simple.. took me a hr self install
Easy install and great fit. I went with 4ohm. I have a Bang and Olufsen in my M5. I have Bavsound ghost subs and they have a little cleaner sound than these but much less bass and volume! One went bad and instead of paying $600/pair to replace I tried these. Very happy so far.
I’ve been looking to add some bass in my 2014 Harley FLHTK without losing any space in my saddle bags or tour pack. Tried these in my lower fairings but had some vibrations and rattling in the plastic so I installed them into my tour pack speaker pods using an adaptor ring. Added some poly fill and they sound great. Solid tones and perfect for that low range filler.
Replaced the factory HiFi subs on my e92 with these. At the same time I also replaced it with 700/5 amp and boy I had no idea this car could produce these sub tones. The stock subs can't really do much of anything at all so these are a must. For HiFi users, you'll want the 2ohm subs if using factory amp or 600/6 amp. If using the 700/5 amp you'll want the 4ohm ones bridged to 2ohm mono. Hope that helps.
i used this two for bass and both wont make the car rattly but a great sound bass feeling
You'll get the sound of the subs but you will not truly feel it, I threw 150-watts to each of these woofers (2 under each front seat of a 128i) and because of the space you are working with under the seat don't expect rocking bass, you will get a decent sound for your ears...but it lacks overall bass punch where you will really feel the bass. It works for the application very well however I say.
The speakers fit perfect in BMW vehicles with under seat woofers. The sound quality is much better and provides more bass than the factory speakers, at a more economical cost.
Good speaker, just didn't fit for my installment.
This is a good drop on replacement for a E93 M3 below seat subwoofer. Minor mods needed to make the connection, but straight forward.
Sounds very good. I used them to replace the rear door speakers on a 2017 Ford Escape. My Escape does not have the sub in the back. So I put these in the rear doors and they did the trick. Added enough bass for my classic rock and country. If hooked up to an amp you can get very strong deep bass. As of now they are just running off of the factory head unit and does the trick. Dano
I bought these 3 years ago for my 2003 Tundra. They are mounted in the back doors and powered by an Alpine PDX amplifier with 100W RMS running low pass filter at about 90Hz. I'm using Crescendo Audio components in the front. They are still working great after 3 years and add nice clean bass to my music.

It fit into my stock door speaker mounts perfect! Because it mounted into my doors it doesn’t have the deep bass like in a box or trunk but it works great!

Good speakers, slim, have a good bass punch. Mounted them in the bass speakers of a VW MK5 GLI. I had to put dynamat sound deadening for the vibrations and everything is perfect.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good speakers, slim and produce low sounds that the factory bass speakers can't produce.
Effective and light. A perfect sound solution, for those looking for good bass quality, while maintaining the original look of the car.
So far so good, way more bass than a 6.5 inch speaker should be capable of especially in the this price range. I've them in the kick panels of a K5 blazer to bolster the bass/midbass up front and fill in the gap between the 12s in back and the mids and tweets in my dash. Excellent so far.
I am very happy with these speakers. The OEM subs made low frequency noises, but these speakers really deliver the full, low bass that I was looking for. I am using them with the Bimmertech amp. For installation, I used the spacers found on Amazon. I also got a set of connectors that mate with the BMW ones to eliminate wire cutting. Search the web for 1719093-3 B. Also, when installing, it is not necessary to remove the plastic bass enclosure as is shown in some helpful videos. After tilting back the seats and removing the grills, I just removed the OEM speakers and put these in place. If you watch the videos and have the correct tools with you, the whole project is pretty quick.
They are 6.5 diam. subs but their base are just like a 12 diam sub very impressive low tones

I blew the woofer under the seat in my 2011 BMW M3. I verified my amp was okay by wiring a random home speaker to the woofer output in my car. Luckily it worked. I did some research on options and these speakers are the best value for an easy drop-in replacement speaker. You must get the
5.0 out of 5 stars BMW M3 - Perfect Fit. Don't pay over double the price for anything else.
I knew when I bought these that they wouldn't stand up to the much larger subwoofers system I had in my other vehicle. To be honest, I didn't expect much. They can't put out enough to give a real sensational hit you feel in your bones or anything, but they have great, crisp sound and (still) have much better hit than I was expecting.
Great sub for bmw cars, no modifications required with the adapters. . It has the best punchy bass compared to other shallow 8" for bmw underseat enclosures, but it lacks the midbass that other brands have. Excellent choice if you don't want a dedicated 10-12" sub in the trunk, not so good if you absolutely must have a dedicated sub in the trunk. Don't cross these subs higher than ~130hz. This is the 2ohm model which means you can have two of these wired together at 4ohm or 1ohm total load to amplifier. Excellent for bimmertech amp/dsp because it has a dedicated wire to each sub and it plays louder at 2ohm load / each.
I can't say much because they're not installed in my car. nonetheless, they look really great and I've tested them using my home theater system. they sound great and I think I'll buy another subwoofer from them soon. the one thing that kind of disappointed me was that it did not come with speaker wires or wire clips. what you see is what you get. 9/10. would highly recommend for budget and decent sound quality. UPDATE: The speakers work beautifully in my 2012 VW GTI. I'm very impressed by the sound and quality of these subs. I also bought a pair of spacers to tag onto the speakers.
Sounds good. Installed in 2014 BMW F31.... underseat... attached to BimmerTech DSP amp. Good sound.... hits harder the louder I turn up volume.
I cant belive the quake this 1- 8inch sub has just installed it in my canyon crew cab it sounds great im going with 4 all together cant wait.
Awesome subwoofes great bass for their size. The problems you others have with "blew up quickly, etc" is you that guys are overpowering them these are not competition subwoofers don't try pushing them beyond their rated power. Duh
Installed these on my 2013 335i with Hi-Fi sound system. Definitely a big difference! It gives my music a little more punch that the stock sound was missing. You will also need the spacers for installation, this will make your sub fit perfectly. I also recommend swapping out the stock amp to something like a JL XD800v2.
this thing transformed the sound of my car I replaced the stock sub on my BMW and the difference is amazing.
This subwoofer sounds great. It has a lot of bass and one would think I have 10 or 12's in the trunk. But with any BMW if you do not have ski pass-through or fold down rear seats you can not hear a sub in the trunk to well. This is the best design under the seat. I have it connected to a JL AUDIO XD4004/4 . Getting the sub enclosure out from under the seat was a pain because the carpet is so thick with sound deadening. You also have to cut some of the inside of the sub enclosure it is plastic and all you really have to is grab it with a pair of pliers and twist it off you do not need a dremel. Her is a link for a PDF of instructions as well as pictures.http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163804. Also there is sites that have all the wiring but just remember any wire with a brown strip is negative.
I installed these on my BMW 335i in no time at all. They sound great and fitment is great with pre-made spacers from JTSherri on e90post. They give great punchy and deep bass and fill out the overall sound in the car wonderfully.
