CompareHigh Performance Voice Coil
The heart of the Tremor-X124 Subwoofer is an oversized voice coil. All aspects of the voice coil design are optimized for maximum performance, durability, and sound quality. The voice coil former (the cylinder to which the coil is wound) is made of aluminum, not cellulose (cardboard), Kapton®, or fiberglass. The use of aluminum prevents hotspots on the voice coil due to the inherent high heat conductivity. In essence, the entire voice coil becomes one big heat sink. The voice coil is wound of copper wire and meets mil-std specifications for temperature resilience. German-made high-temperature adhesives are used to fuse the coil to the former. This guarantees peak performance even during hard and continuous operation.
TCT – Turbine Cooled Transducer
TremorX is equipped with the patented TCT (Turbine Cooled Transducer) technology. TCT creates a cooling airflow similar to a tornado around the voice coil. Air forced through cooling channels milled in a vortex structure creates the tornado. Traditional voice coil cooling is done by drilling out the pole piece, and the woofer stroke then pushes air back and forth. This cooling scheme only has a linear increase as a function of the woofer stroke. TCT is different. TCT increases cooling capacity exponentially as a function of woofer stroke. This is achieved by harnessing the centrifugal forces in the mini tornado to increase surface area contact between the air and voice coil. TCT is so effective that the voice coil temperature is reduced by 50% compared to the same woofer without TCT. This prevents heat-derived compression and keeps the woofer at maximum efficiency. The harder you drive TremorX, the more it cools.
Wide Edge Suspension
The wide edge suspension allows significant excursion without deformation or increased mechanical resistance. It is of the single-roll type and is thermally pressed for extreme strength and mobility. It allows cone travel of more than 35 mm, ensuring perfect reproduction of even the most bass-heavy soundtracks.
Anti-Wobble Cone Construction
The TremorX cone is made of a proprietary pressed fiber-reinforced pulp with extreme stiffness and light-moving mass. It is then superimposed with a parabolic deep dish made of a strong space-age polymer that obtains additional rigidity by its geometric shape. The cone does not flex or deform regardless of input power and frequency.
Dual Symmetric Stitched Tinsel Leads
The tinsel leads to the voice coils being sewn into the spider to prevent collision with the cone during extreme excursion. This also extends the life of the tinsel leads, as they now bend more gently over a longer distance. The symmetrical design of the tinsel leads prevents an asymmetrical pull on the cone. The result is longer woofer life and greater endurance.
XLT Chassis Geometry
TremorX is based on Earthquake’s signature XLT chassis geometry. It is the optimal design for extreme excursion. The XLT chassis allows for extra length between the spider (center suspension) and the magnetic gap, accommodating oversized spiders and voice coils.

Subwoofer in my car died about a year ago but I hadn’t had the chance of looking for a replacement till now. After doing some research, I came across this brand and turns out earthquake has been making products for years now. This subwoofer is not one of their top of the lines but after installing it in my car, it actually sounds like a very expensive subwoofer. I am very impressed with the lows and how much bass it produces. I used to like Rockford fosgate products but I am now a fan of earthquake. Do not be hesitant to buy their products since they are not really advertised as other famous brands. Do not pay a lot for Chinese crappy brands, earthquake is also made in the USA.

Years ago, I was running 15 inch earthquake subwoofers in my car and transitioned them into the house because of their outstanding deep, tight bass. After years of service they needed cone replacement. I turned again to earthquake subwoofers and once again I have that superior tight bass for my home theater shaking the walls. The bass from these subs are deep and tight.

great sound and bass for the size of the box I have it in.
Pretty nice sounding budget sub the RMS rating for this sub is 450 Watts. If you go over regularly it will reduce the life of this sub. Pretty nice construction has vents for the coil to air cool it. Sounds pretty deep not much excursion but good for the price.

I paired this 15 inch sub to a 1500 watt boss monoblock amp and put it in a ported box. Outputs a lot of bass in my 98 grand prix coupe! Great sub for the price!

WOW!!!! For the price I honestly don't think that you can beat this subwoofer. The amount of bass this thing puts out is astounding, it shakes my whole car. If you are sitting in the backseat you feel like you are receiving a massage, and are lucky if you can see straight when you finally exit the car. It can handle quite a lot of power, and I can crank it as high as I can, without blowing my Bose speakers, and hear no distortion. I am currently running a Dual DA1000D 3000 Peak Watt Mono Channel Amplifier too it, and while it seems like it needs a bit more power to truly give the Sub the power it needs it sounds excellent. I'm talking get compliments on facebook from people in my town I'm not really friends with excellent. The guy who complimented me has two Rockford Fosgate p3 fifteens, and while overall his has more bass, this single sub gives them a run for their money. I am so happy I got this sub, and will definitely be sticking with Earthquake in the future. DBXI hear i come!!!! PS be ready to invest in some Dynamat, cause if your car has any rattles you will definitely hear them. It hits!!!
These subs are stupid loud! I'm not an expert installer but I know good audio and these are the best subs for the price. You can spend a lot more and get a lot less. Earthquake is the only sub I'll use. I’ve been using these things over a year now. They still slam! I’ve seen some low reviews and the main problem seems to be cheap under powered amps. These are power hungry, I have a 2500 watt earthquake amp going to two 10s and they take it all! Before buying your amp YouTube amp dyno test. Cheap amps don’t produce near the power they say.
I purchased 2 of these earthquakes in 15's and installed them in my grand prix with a 800 watt amp and makes my cars body flex like their no tomorrow....these are extremely loud and hit very very very low ....it is the best subs I have ever owned in my life ....you won't be disappointed

I got two of these in a ported box powered by a brutus 2000.1 super D and all i can say is DAMN!!! these things made my 4-12s sound like lil babies and i have the gain on half way...i love these subs they hit the spot!

For what I thought I was getting, buy a sub and not paying a lot if $$ for. I was very very surprised when I hooked it up. It is very loud and hits very low and deep. I added it in with 2 12s in a slot ported box that I built. Placed the db meter in 3 different places and I was very surprised when I seen the reading. Played in between 130 to 142 db. I recently took it out before I got a ticket driving in town. Lol. Sound clarity is very clear and no distortion. For the $$ it is one hell of a deal when you get it tuned right.
I highly recommend these subs! I had two kicker comps tht I thought hit hard until I replaced them with two of these bad boys! I recommend a stronger back glass with these because they spider webed mine because they hit so hard! Other than tht, 5 stars all day! Well worth the money!
This sub is crazy in a ported box hit lows very well and it lives up to its name i just order one more let see what happen when i bring it down to 2 ohm i keep you posted and see what happen
