K-10 Kompressor Tube

Here at Earthquake, we believe that great-sounding bass does not have to be expensive or eat up your entire trunk space. Getting tired of the “just me” type of subwoofer tube. Joseph Sahyoun (President of Earthquake Sound Corporation) integrated the patented SLAPS passive device into a compact tube enclosure, thus creating the 10″ K-10 Kompressor tube subwoofer. The latest and most advanced bass cylinder to ever exist.

Earthquake engineers wrote the book on deep bass extension. First, they molded tube enclosures from high-density material and developed a driver that was optimized specifically for use in these tubes. The K-10 is by far one of the easiest and most economical ways to add deep, clean, all-around bass to your existing car audio system. The tube construction is rugged, with durable moldings designed to blend with any vehicle interior. All hardware needed to securely mount the tube is included in the package. The K-10 subwoofer tube is passive-tuned with the SLAPS passive radiator for optimum bass response and long-lasting performance. The active driver features a 2″ diameter 4-wound flat wire voice coil for deeper low-frequency response and smooth high-frequency roll off thus eliminating the need for an external crossover. The long-throw piston assembly provides an excellent subharmonic extension.

SLAPS Superiority

The K-10 wouldn’t be complete without Earthquake’s patented SLAPS passive radiator technology. SLAPS allows the K-10 subwoofer tube to be tuned to ridiculously low frequencies and achieve massive SPL in the sub-harmonic range. The patented design of the SLAPS passive bass radiator provides additional bass without additional amplifier power or enclosure volume. Designed to perfectly complement all good quality long-throw woofers on the market, SLAPS add up to +6dB of bass compared to regular sealed and ported enclosures. SLAPS is short for Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System. As the name indicates, it is built symmetrically, separating it from traditional or inferior passive devices on the market today. SLAPS integrates identical components in its suspension design resulting in identical stoke regardless of forwards or backward motion. The high efficiency and performance are a result of the pneumatic coupling between SLAPS and an active driver.

The K-10 Kompressor is technologically one of the most advanced subwoofer tubes available on the market today. The small package addresses aesthetics and performance with a carefully selected active driver that moves over 3 inches, guaranteeing to shake loose the trunk of your car and its contents.

    Deep Bass While Saving Space!

This subwoofer fits snugly in the trunk of my 2014 mustang and gives me plenty of room to spare for what my trunk offers. It hits the highs you would expect a ten to hit and the lows you would expect of a 15″. The installer at one of the big box stores I had put this puppy in (due to the warranty) was shocked when I told him the price of the system due to its output as he was expecting this to be around a $500 sub and was much more responsive than the dual twelve enclosures that the store carries.
